Do you know who to call in the event of a pet emergency?
As a loving pet parent, you never want to see your animal family member in distress. Unfortunately, unexpected illnesses and sudden accidents can occur at any time. The way you handle these types of situations can make all the difference in the world for your loved one. At Pendleton Veterinary Clinic, we want you to know that you’ve got a dedicated team in your corner. You can rest easy knowing that we’ll be there for you in your time of need.
Our hospital is equipped to provide life-saving critical care at a moment’s notice. With staff members who are experienced in emergency medicine, we can quickly diagnose the problem and deliver the most timely and effective care. Most importantly, we will handle your companion’s case with the utmost compassion, doing everything within our power to achieve a positive outcome.
Some of the signs that your pet may require urgent medical attention include:
- Difficulty breathing
- Ingestion of a foreign object or toxic substance
- Broken bones
- Cuts, lacerations or puncture wounds
- Vomiting or diarrhea lasting longer than 24 hours
- Bleeding
- Trauma, such as a fall or being hit by a car
- Swollen or tender abdomen
- Difficulty urinating
- Lameness
- Disorientation
- Foaming at the mouth
- Convulsions/seizures
- Loss of consciousness
If you notice your companion exhibiting any of these signs, it’s time to call for help right away. At Pendleton Veterinary Clinic, we always recommend calling ahead when an emergency occurs. This allows us to evaluate the situation and provide first aid instructions over the phone. It also lets us prepare the hospital and other team members for your pet’s arrival. Of course, should the nature of your pet’s emergency not allow time for a phone call, don’t hesitate to come directly in for immediate attention.
We sincerely hope you never experience the need for urgent veterinary care. If you do, however, we want you to know who to call. The team at Pendleton Veterinary Clinic will be here to provide the highest level of care available. You can count on us!

We have trusted Dr. Crabtree from back when he took care of our pets in his south Anderson days to this very day and wouldn’t trust any other person with our pets.
Today was just a reminder of how caring this young man and his staff are, this was a very hard day for the family and Brent was absolutely awesome working with us through our families loss.
Thank you so much!!!

The vet we were taking our pets to changed ownership & we felt that the attention given to our babies was very lacking. it was also impossible to get an appointment. We switched our dogs over when we got a kitten & I have been nothing but happy with my experiences!!! I am so glad I made the change.

Great experience all around! Our pug, Maggi had her first visit today at the clinic as well as her first groom there and they were awesome! Everyone was so friendly, sweet to Maggi and took their time listening and answering my questions. The groomer, Chloe did an amazing job on Maggi. Very pleased and would highly recommend them to anyone!
